I am a Professor of Operations Management and Organization Design at IE University, interested in the design, management, and governance of all kinds of organizations and organizing.

 

Since obtaining my Ph.D. in business administration from the University of Minnesota in 2000, ​I have taught organization economics, organization design, governance, operations management, and research methods in the U.S., France, Spain, Switzerland, Denmark, and my native Finland.  I also publish my research on these topics in peer-reviewed academic journals. My primary practitioner-oriented publication is the book Efficient Organization: A Governance Approach (Oxford University Press), co-authored with Joseph T. Mahoney.
